Tokyo Gas awarded contract for Nong Fab LNG terminal

Tokyo Gas Energy Solutions, a subsidiary of Tokyo Gas Co, announced that Thailand’s PTT LNG, awarded the company a project management consultancy contract, regarding the construction of the Nong Fab LNG terminal.

Nong Fab LNG terminal has a capacity to accommodate 7.5 million tonnes of LNG per year and will be built under the plan of PTT LNG’s parent, PTT Public Co, to increase its annual capacity, from 10 million tonnes to 19 million tonnes by 2023, Reuters reports.

The terminal will be placed near PTT’s Map Ta Phut LNG import plant and is expected to have a total worth of $1 billion.

The construction will be finished until 2021, PTT informed.
