Driving forces for LNG transition as a marine fuel

Pioneers in LNG discussed LNG projects and how alliances, partnerships, and technology are driving the transistion to LNG as fuel at the Nor-Shipping event which took place in Oslo, Norway, 30 May – 2 June 2017.

Panel debates are Peter Keller – Chairman, SEA/LNG & EVP Tote, Peter Justesen – EVP/Chief Shipping Officer ENGIE, Ali Shebab – Deputy CEO Kuwait Oil Tanker Company, Synnøve Seglem – Deputy CEO Knutsen OAS, Lauran Wetemans – GM Downstream LNG Shell & Moderator Parag Khanna.

Installation of LNG tanks at Finland’s Raahe LNG terminal

The video shows transport of two LNG storage tanks to an LNG satellite terminal to Raahe, in northern Finland at the end of November 2017. The local utility, Raahen Voima, will utilise the LNG to replace the use of LPG for generating power and heat to its’ major consumer, a local SSAB steel mill.
