GAS Entec, announced the plan to build a LNG fuelled reefer carrier, that will be recorded as the world's first LNG fuelled reefer carrier. The company chose an indirect type of cargo hold cooling system, which came from the cryogenic energy generated during the vaporization process of LNG, propulsion and power generation fuel.

Wärtsilä to equip DEME’s mega LNG cutter dredger

Wärtsilä announced that has been contracted to supply engines and propulsion machinery for the mega Cutter Suction Dredger, ‘Spartacus’, which is currently being built at the Royal IHC yard in the Netherlands and is to be delivered to Belgium-based DEME. The order with Wärtsilä was booked in the fourth quarter of 2016.
